ANN SNOW’S FARM PAINTING DAY
It was a bright but blustery morning on the Tuesday at College Farm but it did not deter the members who arrived, well wrapped up from the cold and armed with sketch books, paints, easels and stools. After an initial recce by the artists, many soon decided where on the farm they wanted to settle down to paint and what they wanted to paint. The large friendly white horse belonging to Hilary, Ann’s daughter, proved a challenging subject for some, and the ancient farm tractor languishing at the back of the barn made an interesting subject for others. When the rain threatened later that morning, many retired to Ann’s warm, welcoming kitchen for tea and biscuits. Everyone agreed that it had been an enjoyable and productive day and we look forward to seeing the fruits of their labours, perhaps, at our next exhibition(?) Our grateful thanks to Ann Snow, our Society President, for inviting us to her home for the day.
