Life Drawing Session

Saturday 19th October 2024, 10am to 4pm in the Memorial Hall

The workshop was led by Brian Britton at a cost of £35 per person. It was suitable for both experienced members and also members who had never drawn from a model before.

Full tuition was given on request.

Workshop Report

"Thirteen people attended Brian's life drawing workshop. The day started with a series of four poses of two minutes each.  It continued with another series, six this time, in a different medium.  We were encouraged to sketch without taking the pencil off the paper. The morning continued with a couple of longer poses with the model in different positions.

After a short lunch, the model was placed in a chair with a mirror behind.  She remained there, with short breaks, for the rest of the afternoon. We were able to use a medium of our own choice.

Brian has found an excellent new model.  After concentrating for six hours we all went home tired."
