Brian Britton - "Life Drawing Workshop"

This Lechlade Art Society Life Drawing Workshop offered the experienced tuition of Brian Britton with a live model present. The focus was on sketching, mark making, value, measuring, composition, foreshortening and accuracy. Using pencil, charcoal, paint, pastels and chalk, Brian gave expert advice on how best to capture the human form. He began with controlled rapid study poses throughout the morning session, progressing into one long single sitting during the afternoon when members worked in colour or continued with their drawing.
Attendees varied from beginner to advanced. No specific skill or previous experience was required. First-time or less experienced members who wanted some tuition were helped by Brian throughout the day. There are some photographs in the gallery which follows.
LAS workshops take place throughout the year in the Pavilion and Memorial Hall.
