Jill Smith Demonstration in Watercolour - "The Thames near Lechlade"
Tuesday 15 March 2022, 2.00pm to 4.00pm in the Pavilion
Jill Smith, a talented member of the Society who paints in both watercolour and oils, stepped in at short notice to give this demonstration. Jill was a little apprehensive before the event but soon got into the swing of things on the day explaining her technique and materials very clearly. There were a few technical problems with the camera and projector so all 25+ members gathered around more closely and were captivated for 2 hours. Jill explained what she was doing, and the stages of building up the watercolour painting, throughout the demonstration. When thanking Jill at the end, Brian Britton remarked on how quiet and attentive the group had been.
It was great session and Jill will be leading a watercolour workshop later in the year, details to be announced.
