John Sirrelle

John was born in Birmingham but has lived in Highworth, Wiltshire for the past 25 years.

John has explored a range of media such as pencil, watercolour, acrylic and oil but, for his mixed media pictures, works in Chromacolour (acrylic), pastels and high quality coloured pencils. This is a technique he has developed since 2013 and is unique to him!

John has a realistic approach and works from life, sketches and photographs (his own or donated to interpret) and continues to develop his own techniques.  Although John still enjoys painting many different subjects, in 2013 he decided to specialize in animal pictures.

All his pictures are in his 'Mixed Media' technique and framed. The first measurement in the caption is the actual size of the picture, the second is the size including the frame. To see more of John's paintings go to his website
